OBTAINED: Selected in the fourth round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft.
CAREER NOTES: 2008: Made his professional debut, batting .277 with 25R, 15 doubles, 2HR and 18RBI in 49 games with the GCL Yankees… led team in doubles, tying for third-most in the GCL, and runs… reached base safely in a team-high 18 straight games from 7/11 through the end of the season… PERSONAL: Batted .510 with 15HR and 58RBI in his senior season at Franklin (Tenn.) High School and was named Midstate “Player of the Year”… his brother, Caleb, was drafted in 2008 by Baltimore and played last season at short-season Single-A Aberdeen.
